"Home Home Home: the house of an imaginary collector" is
an exhibition that shows how art and design can be combined
contemporaries with surprising results, and which is exhibited at the
Materna y Herencia Gallery in Madrid until this Sunday, October 13. The 88 square meters of this gallery, located a few meters from the Prado Museum
and the Royal Botanical Garden of Madrid, at 27 Ruiz de Alarcón Street,
have become the domestic space of an imaginary collector
which has brought into dialogue works of contemporary art and pieces of
collection design in every corner. The creators of these works
The art designers are collaborating artists from Galería Materna and Herencia ; and the furniture and lamps, all of which are unique or limited edition pieces, are designers supported by Caotics , an online gallery of collectible design, specialising in Spanish talent.

The curator of this exhibition is Marta Valea , director of Caotics
and also an art consultant and interior designer. She has made a
splendid selection of works and creators for this exhibition, which
can be visited until October 13. And an example is this corner with
a work by Polish artist Michael Slusakowicz (Krakow, 1980) in front of the FFFF (Fun Furniture For Friends) seating by designer Francisco Jordán . Next to it, on a pedestal, a sculpture by Galician artist Iván Prieto .

In this corner, the work “Sustained by a burning balloon” by the artist Carlota Pereira (Santiago de Compostela, 1980) is reflected in the lacquered surface of the KT64 table, a design in MDF and flexible wood created by Inés Ybarra Pasch
and produced by CasaHari, the firm that this designer, photographer and
creative director, she founded together with Olivia Sartogo. About her, one of the
impressive pieces arising from the collaboration of a virtuoso of the
turned wood Toni Porto (Madrid, 1964) and the feather artist Henar Iglesias (San
Sebastián, 1981), which consists of a hollow piece of wood, covered
of iridescent feathers. Next to it, one of the surrealist sculptures by Iván Prieto .

This exhibition features pieces that have been created especially for her. One example is this wonderful "Second Skin" screen made with feathers by the artist Henar Iglesias .
Daughter of hat designer Charo Iglesias, Henar left her
Mathematics career to embrace feather art, an ancient technique
that fascinated her since she was a child and to which she has given a freshness
contemporary.

composed of steel pieces. These pieces are used as a base for the
table, but they can also be joined together to form a sculpture.
shape is reminiscent of the petals of the bougainvillea plant.

Beautiful for their simplicity and closeness, the works in basalt and marble by Maru Oriol
fuse fragility and solidity. “Sculpture consists of creating a
“a body that you can embrace” says this sculptor, daughter of the architect
Miguel de Oriol. And so is this piece that unites dynamism and strength, and that
we can see it in the Materna and Heritage Gallery during the Home Casa Home exhibition.
